ABOUT


T.R. Mann founded Mann Shade Company in 1950, specializing in window shades. The business became MannKidwell Shade Corporation in 1967 when Andrew Kidwell, Jr. purchased it. The current owner, Andrew Kidwell III, began working alongside his father in 1993, learning the business from the ground up before purchasing the business in 1997. Andrew and his staff have maintained the high level of customer service that has become synonymous with the name MannKidwell. In 2005, MannKidwell expanded its product lines and moved into a larger 4,000 sq ft showroom located at 6011 West Broad Street. The expanded showroom allows for full-size samples that can be raised and lowered and tested for light control as well as work space to meet with your designer or builder.


Our trained and qualified window treatment experts are available in the showroom to help you select the products, colors, and options that best suit your needs. Whether you need shutters, blinds, shades, or commercial products, our staff is here Monday through Friday to assist you in the showroom. We can help you update a room or finish an entire home.


Our installers are the best in the industry. We never use sub-contractors, and our professional installers are trained and highly-skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. We treat them like family, and they in turn treat you like family. You may even catch them giving your dog a belly rub!
